Phyllis Georgina Rose was born in and grew up in Maine. She took a trip to California and ended up staying for sixteen years. This worked into her life in a way she never dreamed of. When she returned to Maine, many things replayed in her life which helped bring about her dream of a long-dreamed-of-novel.
